Food needs to be kept save on each stage of its journey starting from farm, continued with its processing, distribution, retail and ended by consumption.
That is why it is needed to follow respective food safety precautions on each stage, to be ensured by farmers and other entrepreneurs, controlled by state and, in the end, taken care off by consumers themselves.
From Farm to Fork approach is acknowledged as the major principle in food safety in the modern world.
