Making Georgia Visible !

On April 23-24, a two-day workshop was successfully conducted by our amazing Italian volunteers Greta and Manuel!

The workshop focused on media literacy and aimed to empower participants to research and publish online content about Georgia – in both Georgian and English!

Here’s what we covered:

1.Research Skills – Participants learned how to effectively search for reliable information online and structure their findings into well-organized content.

2.Wikipedia Editing – Participants discovered about the less information on Georgia in Wikipedia, and Italian volunteers shared practical skills in creating and editing articles with the participants!

3.MediaWiki – the participants got acquainted with the language in which Wikipedia is created, and talked about the possibilities of its widespread use.

4. Practice – The workshop ended with a practical session where participants put their new knowledge into action – creating content and contributing to Georgia’s online visibility!

By the end of the workshop, participants were equipped with essential skills to:

✅ Research and organize information;

✅ Edit and publish on Wikipedia;

✅ Use MediaWiki;
