From May 20 to 22, 2025, Timothy Ghilain, Deputy Secretary General of the European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD), visited Georgia on a working trip.
During his visit, he met with various civil society organizations actively engaged in advocating for the rights and needs of persons with disabilities.
On May 21, a roundtable meeting was held, organized by the European Foundation, Association Anika, and Society Biliki. At the meeting, Timothy Ghilain, gave a detailed presentation on EASPD’s activities. Following this, international experts shared their experiences online on the following topics:
1.National employment policies and alternative employment models;
2.Child protection guarantees and early intervention;
3.Successful practices and reports on the use of artificial intelligence in delivering services for persons with disabilities.
