From June 15 to 18, 2025, representatives of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties, accompanied by a group of American youth, visited Society Biliki in Georgia.
During their visit, the guests were introduced to our organization’s mission, ongoing programs, and projects. They also had the opportunity to tour all of our centers that provide services to children and youth.
The visitors showed great interest in our day center activities and enthusiastically participated in various creative workshops. They took part in handicraft masterclasses at both the “Biliki” Day Center and the “Skhivi” Center, where they created handmade bracelets and toys.
One of the most touching moments was a special performance by our children, featuring traditional Georgian dances and songs. The American youth also had the chance to play the panduri – a traditional Georgian musical instrument.
A particularly meaningful part of the visit was the meeting with students of our Access Program and members of our youth club. During this cultural exchange, young people shared information about American and Georgian traditions, discussed similarities and differences, and asked each other thoughtful questions.
