“Society Biliki” and the Slovak organization TENENET, with the financial support of the Slovak International Development Agency “Slovak Aid”, are implementing a joint project. The project promotes the employment of persons with disabilities and the optimization of the labor policy in the labor market of Georgia.

The goal of the project:

• Improving the policy of promoting the employment of persons with disabilities at the national and regional level and professional strengthening of people working on the issues of persons with disabilities.
• Sharing the Slovak experience – getting to know the working principles of Slovak social enterprises, activities of representatives of departments working on social and labor policy issues (study visit to Slovakia).
• Improving the policy of employment of persons with disabilities – holding professional discussions with local business representatives.
• Professional discussion on issues of supportive employment – creation of employment conditions and working environment for people with disabilities, sharing of experience in Slovakia.
• Strengthening the positions of the Councils of Persons with Disabilities in the regions of Georgia, strengthening the professional skills of the members of the Council of Persons with Disabilities and, at the regional level, promoting mutual cooperation between the persons responsible for the implementation of social policy and the representatives of persons with disabilities, organizing professional discussions.
• Increasing motivation of disabled people, integrating them into society, developing talents and skills, active participation in public activities.
• Stimulating the public sector and society – creating better conditions for disabled people, adapting the existing infrastructure.

They will participate in the project activities – non-governmental organizations working with disabled people, representatives of local self-governments and state trustee administration and the social sector implementing employment policy, as well as the state employment promotion agency, the regional office of the public defender’s office and the media.

The project will be implemented – in three regions and four municipalities: Shida Kartli – Gori and Khashuri municipalities; Kvemo Kartli – Marneuli and Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region – Zugdidi municipality.

At the end of the project – A presentation of jointly developed recommendations, action plan and project results within the framework of the employment policy will be held
